The Casa Design Showroom has added new lighting from Shakúff. The artists at Shakúff are interested in creating contemporary lighting fixtures that are also imaginative. Their goal is to push the boundaries of light, color and texture. In addition to their own designs, the Shakúff enjoys working with clients to bring their ideas to fruition.
Windfall Contemporary Crystal Lighting is known worldwide for their innovative takes on a classic lighting element – the chandelier. Using the traditional medium of crystal, artists Roel Haagmans and Clarissa Dorn create contemporary lighting that is both unique and relevant for modern homes and businesses. They have stripped the idea of the heavy, dripping chandelier; re-engineering the vision into fixtures that are ethereal and airy.
It seems like wherever one looks in the world of modern lighting design, the word Flosis somewhere in the fine print. Casa Design has the honor of representing Flos fixtures in our showroom and now there is a new wall lamp in the collection.
Have a unique space you need to illuminate? Contemporary lighting fixtures are springing up in triangular forms. Made to fit flush into corners, or create striking geometric patterns, there has been an influx of triangular lighting fixtures from top lighting designers.
We can’t help but have a fond place in our hearts for Foscarini, they were part of what drew the attention of The Best of Boston Home our way. However, even without the honor of “Best Lighting,” we appreciate the artistry and whimsy found in Foscarini’s contemporary lighting fixtures. The Rituals collection, designed by L+R Palomba is exemplary of these two traits.
When you hear the term “beehive,” what comes to mind? A hairstyle from decades ago, or perhaps honey bees? Most likely, a lighting fixture doesn’t cross your mind, but one of the newer Foscarini lamps is changing what we see when we think of a beehive.
