We love seeing new, innovative takes on the familiar.
That would include this picnic table from Extremis. With the Hopper Table, designer Dirk Wynants literally twisted the bench and table configuration inta a fully functional design that also turns out to be very sturdy and very eye catching.
It won the 2011 Interior Innovation Award and the 2011 Red Dot “Best of the Best” Award.
The white painted steel looks especially beautiful against the Iroko wood table top.
The galvanized steel version is great for a more industrial look.
You can also add an integrated sun shade. Design magazine Tréndir points out that “this table is a great choice in open patio spaces where shade is scarce.”
