Which is why we were so delighted by the news that Italian private equity firm Investindustrial — through its subsidiary contemporary furniture leader B&B Italia — has become the majority partner in luxury kitchen and bathroom designer Arclinea.
What can we expect to see moving forward as these two interior design world dynamos come together? The Fortuna family will continue to run things operationally at Arclinea, a brand near and dear to our hearts at Casa Design — albeit with accelerated opportunities for growth thanks to the new partnership.
According to Silvio Fortuna, AD Arclinea, “The core values of our company and our family, are the same as those of Investindustrial and B&B Italia. From this realization sprang the decision to enter into a partnership and share development projects on the world market. For Arclinea, a global star of the high-end kitchen segment, this will mean a further substantial acceleration of its international development.”
Meanwhile, B&B Italia is expected to expand its footprint beyond the indoor-outdoor furnishings for which it’s long been known and into the upscale designer kitchen segment.
