For more than a decade, award-winning Italian designer Rossella Pugliatti ‘s creations for Giorgetti have helped define the Giorgetti Lifestyle. Many of her iconic designs feature full-bodied, softly shaped upholstery and high-end woodworking that combines the sharp precision of industrial techniques with the ancient art of cabinetmaking, Architecturally striking yet elegantly accessible, her Hug chair, Move rocking chair and Solemyidae sofa are the epitome of Giorgetti experimentation and have been featured in fashion magazines around the world.
With its sinuous wood frame encircling the plush, inviting upholstery, Hug is “protective like a hug and soft in its generosity.” 20 pieces of solid walnut Canaletto wood form the load-bearing structure, keeping the chair firmly anchored to the ground.
A rocking armchair with “great aesthetic balance,” Move features a wooden frame made up of 30 pieces of solid ash wood, meticulously glued and finished by hand. The padding of the seat and backrest is rigid polyurethane and cold foamed flexible polyurethane, which can be upholstered in fabric or leather. The wood finish is available in natural, anthracite grey, biscuit, or ash grey.
Welcoming and full of character, Solemyidae’s shaped, anatomical frame was inspired by the shell of the mollusks for which it is named. Ideal as a cozy corner in a large sitting room or as the focal point of a space dedicated to intimate relaxing, the sofa is available in fabric or leather in one or two colors, with coordinating stools in two sizes.
