It’s not often you find a “barely-there” floor lamp, but that’s exactly what clients get with the new SKAN collection from Vibia. In fact, the entire collection focuses on obtaining optimal light value from minimal form.

Lievore Altherr Molina Designed the SKAN Collection for Vibia

Each of the fixtures in the SKAN collection has been designed with the lowest-impact on its surrounding space. While they’ll appeal to the consummate modernist, they are also desirable in smaller studios and compact work spaces where visible square footage is a premium. The fixtures resemble a line drawing, with only the minimal amount of structural materials required to house energy efficient LED bulbs.

The SKAN floor lamps are comprised of three juxtaposing forms – base, stand and lamp – that come together to create a simple yet functional reading lamp. The suspended ceiling lamps are equally unassuming. There is a pendant lamp option (11.75-inch circumference) or a larger suspended lamp (23.5-inch circumference), both of which were designed to be used alone or in groupings. All of the fixtures are available in white, red or charcoal gray matte finishes.
