Palinfrasca Outdoor Sofa by Vincent Van Duysen
The iconic shape of the Palinfrasca Sofa was inspired by the 1994 work of Luca Meda, interpreting the essence of teak in curved, soft lines that lend an air of luxurious comfort. The structure is rich in refined cabinet-making details such as the back of the sofa, which serves as a convenient shelf, and the distinctive weaving of the thin backrest band, available in teak or olive green EVA polyurethane, which recalls the weaves in natural materials of the Mediterranean tradition. The generously-sized sofa cushions, available in two sizes, give the idea of abundant softness and richness, while the seat cushion, in molded polyurethane with variable densities, provides maximum support. The upholstery features weather-resistant fabric, with covers that are easily removable. The sofa is available in three widths.
Arc Outdoor Table by Foster + Partners
Striking and sculptural, the Arc table features a base inspired by the architectural look of modern buildings. The material is a light cement that incorporates color and a special fibrous material, molded into a single block. The result is a strong but lightweight structure with a feeling of elasticity and recyclability, reinforced by the low environmental impact of the production cycle.
Green Point Outdoor Chair and Stools by Vincent Van Duysen
Inspired by the smooth forms of Modernist architecture, the Green Point Chair’s slender structure is characterized by a flat band in burnished, painted aluminum. The bending of the band draws the shape of the backrest and sled bases, giving an airy, delicate silhouette. A dense, handcrafted polypropylene rope cover is woven onto the metal frame and is available in anthracite, olive green, and desert yellow. The Green Point stool offers maximum seating comfort thanks to a backrest calibrated to properly support the kidneys and a metal band between the two sled bases offering a comfortable footrest.
D.154.2 Outdoor Armchair by Gio Ponti
At last, an outdoor version of one of Gio Ponti’s most iconic pieces, designed in 1954 for the Planchart villa in Caracas, D.154.2 is a careful study of materials and technical performance true to the original design. With its sinuous profile featuring a rigid yet cozy shell juxtaposed with a soft, upholstered frame, the chair’s timeless beauty arises from the subtle play of curved lines.
Panna Cotta Outdoor Coffee Tables by Ron Gilad
A combination of delicacy and stability, Panna Cotta is a paradox of mixed materials such as marble and iron, creating a fragile solidity. The table is characterized by a slight vibration at the top, reminiscent of the famous Italian dessert for which it is named. The stainless-steel frame features a perforated top, supported by a base in Etna lava stone with a glassy texture that is the result of crushing recycled glass from TV and PC monitors. Available in anthracite, olive green, and desert yellow and with tops in two different sizes.
Guell Sunbed by Vincent Van Duysen
Stylish and design for ultimate comfort, Guell features a burnished, painted aluminum band which runs along the entire profile. The seat and backrest are available in a traditional motif of polypropylene rope weave in anthracite, olive green, and desert yellow, or teak slats. The sunbed is lightweight and can be easily moved thanks to the wheels fitted to the backrest; to ensure maximum safety, the wheel is barely suspended and activated only when the sunbed is raised, one of many details that underline the design precision for which Molteni&C are known.
Hyde Outdoor Pouf by Vincent Van Duysen
Elegant, inviting, and weather-resistant, the Hyde Pouf is a charming accessory to any outdoor setup. The design features a polyurethane and recyclable polyester core covered with a stylish play of interlaced polypropylene rope in anthracite and is available in two sizes.
