The mere title of Sancal’s latest products, The Majestic Collection, is enough to capture interest. Fortunately, Casa Design is confident it won’t disappoint. We’ve featured one of Sancal’s innovative and eye-catching designs in the past, most recently with a post about the visually rich Gráfica Collection.
That particular collection was designed with industrialist motifs in mind. The Majestic Collection has an almost opposite effect due to the fact that designers were inspired by decorative styles from previous design eras. Thus, pieces in the Majestic line have a more opulent and lush aesthetic.
Sancal’s Majestic Collection: A Tongue-in-Cheek Look at Majesty
Perhaps one of the things that sets Sancal apart is their commitment to the artistic process. Case in point, the designers in charge of the Majestic Collection, unveiled at the 2015 Salone del Mobile, decided to take a tongue-in-cheek look at majesty throughout the ages, with the goal of incorporating colors, fabrics and historic styles in a very serious way.
The result is a completely mature and sensory-rich furniture and accent line that incorporates rich velvets, soft leather, woods in every finish and a plethora of metallic accents. You can get more information about the collection from Casa Design.
