TAKE A LOOK AT HENGE'S MOOD 2018 COLLECTION
- September 12, 2018
In the Mood for Something Completely Different?
Featuring precious finishes and rare techniques and materials, mood lifts furniture into the realms of fashion.
Unveiled at this year’s Milan Design Week, Mood represents “the evolution of the identity of the brand,” according to Creative Director Massimo Castagna. “Recoiling from the mere function of furniture,” Henge’s new furniture and accessory collection drew record numbers of visitors at both the Salone del Mobile and at Atelier Henge.
Oriented towards “the research of materials and uniqueness of creations,” Henge’s new collection pushes the boundaries of design, straying from the limitations imposed by serial industrial productions by “transforming into the manifesto of a cognitive and experimental path dedicated to craftsmanship.”
The result is a collection of completely customizable and often modular products offering endless compositional harmonies. In the skillful hands of Henge’s master craftsmen, ordinary pieces are transformed through the use of ancient techniques, like Fusion briarroot micro-mosaics, and rare materials, such as exclusively extracted Black Lake stone and the famous ivory-textured stone from Ostuni, Italy. Precious finishing adds another facet of artistry, with options including titanium, platinum, black copper, Patina (in burnished polished 999 silver), and Silver Sand casting.
A collection of beautifully crafted pieces that bring a museum-like quality to the spaces they inhabit. Whose mood could not fail to improve, in such surroundings?
