Back in December, we peaked your interest in the latest Kettal Mesh outdoor collection. This month, we invite you to turn your attention towards their newest armchair, called Stampa, which combines simple and sophisticated style with Kettal’s iconic mesh form.
Kettal Stampa: Sturdy, Delicate and Timeless
It isn’t often that you see the words “sturdy” and “delicate” in the same description. But French designers Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec have managed to do just that with Kettal Stampa. The chair comprises several aluminum fabrication techniques, including injection-molded rings, creating their delicate mesh-like design, a stamped back and seat and hydro-formed legs.
Small punched circles give the frames their delicate appearance and add a slight textural enhancement as well. While they in no way compromise the durable strength and longevity of the aluminum, the chairs were built such that, “Like a pair of leather boots…the chair [can] change organically with use over time.” The chairs are designed for outdoor use but are equally attractive in residential or commercial interiors.
Kettal Stampa chairs are ideal for contract applications because they are easily stacked and transported. They come in two finish options: perforated or plain and powder-coated or anodized. Stampa is available through Casa Outdoor.
