WALLPAPER MAGAZINE: OFFICINA RESTAURANT WASHINGTON D.C

Photography by Scott Suchman

Wallpaper Magazine featured OFFICINA, a Restaurant in Washington D.C's revitalized wharf, and it's marvelous, smart design by Grupo 7.

Casa Design Group is glad to be part of this project.

Officina is the realization of Chef Nicholas Stefanelli's career-long dream to bring the very best of Italian gastronomy together under one roof. A reflection of his travels, training and distinctly Italian-American upbringing, Officina is a collection of unique food and beverage experiences.

Officina is comprised of many different parts: on the first floor is a marketplace plying Italian delicacies and an all-day bar and cafe; the second floor is split between a trattoria serving classic Italian fare and a bar dedicated to amaro; while, the third is a vibrant and lush rooftop lounge with stunning views of the water.

The yellow-cushion custom Morelato chairs scattered across the trattoria are, according to the restaurant, the only ones of their kind in the United States.

The chairs are a complement to GUBItables and the beautiful Allegretto Pendantby Foscarini.

Restaurant goers can also sit at the W Stools by Billiani at the bar and admire the Multi-Lite Pendants by GUBI.

You can easily spend a day at Officina, but after stocking up on the essentials at Mercato, head to Trattoria to sample rustic classics from braised veal ravioli to grilled Mediterranean octopus at a window seat, where you can watch the bustle of the wharf outside.
