Boma 3-Seater Bench

Product details

Designed by Rodolfo Dordoni

The Boma collection, designed by Rodolfo Dordoni for Kettal, was born from the need for high performances in an outdoor environment, without sacrificing the increasing demand for comfort that new products have to face. Therefore the structure is organized around a frame entirely made of aluminum, capable of hiding in the essentiality of its lines either the quality of the used materials and the chance of easy articulation in different compositions. On the base of this flexible and light support, soft seats, made of large cushions and different modularity, take place.

Frame Finish: Feldspar, Curcum, Alpine Glow, Terracota, Magma, Terra Rossa, Sepia, Cobalt, Oasis, Bronce, Indigo, Gypsum, Kaolin, Bone, Chalk, Manganese, London Clay, Flint, Carbon, Peeble

Fabric Finish: 285 Dry Sand Laminate, 286 Deer Laminate, 287 Wetsand Laminate, 288 Cedar Laminate,  289 Fog Laminate, 291 Porous Grey Laminate, 292 Limestone Laminate, 293 Charcoal Laminate, 294 Ashrose Laminate, 296 Moss Laminate, 291 White Cliffs Laminate

Rodolfo Dordoni was born in 1954 in Milan, where he obtained his architecture degree at the Politecnico in 1979 and where he still works as a designer. He runs two creative studios: his design office, Rodolfo Dordoni, and Dordoni Architetti, founded with Alessandro Acerbi and Luca Zaniboni, devoted to residential, industrial and commercial spaces, shops, showrooms, hotels, restaurants, yachts, and exhibition stands in Italy and abroad. Dordoni's projects are characterized by a rational approach, essential forms, rigorous geometries, attention to detail and overall high quality. During his university years, he developed a friendship with fellow student Giulio Cappellini. This bond translated into a long-standing professional association as artistic director of the Cappellini brand for over ten years.

In the furniture and lighting sector, he was creative director of Artemide (for the glass collection), FontanaArte (for the furniture collection), Foscarini (with the Lumiere and Buds lamps) and Roda (the Piper furniture family, the Spool sofas and the Mamba garden sofas). He boasts numerous high-profile collaborations, including Very Wood, MDF Italia, and Coedition. His numerous awards and recognitions include the 2011 National Award for Innovation (Dordoni Architetti), the Honourable Mention at the XXIII Compasso d'Oro in 2014 and, more recently, the Archiproducts Design Awards.
