The Cornaro Sofa by Cassina, originally designed by Carlo Scarpa in 1973, balances geometric rigor with inviting comfort through a refined interplay of structure and softness. Defined by its solid wood frame with a glossy lacquered finish, the design contrasts beautifully with the generous upholstered cushions that form the seat, backrest, and armrests.
Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the sofa features padding in polyurethane foam combined with recycled PET fiber, ensuring both comfort and durability. The removable upholstery, available in fabric or leather, enhances versatility while maintaining a sophisticated aesthetic. Updated in its proportions, Cornaro preserves the integrity of Scarpa’s original vision while adapting seamlessly to contemporary interiors.
