The Cab Chair by Cassina, designed by Mario Bellini in the 1970s, is an iconic piece of the I Contemporanei collection and a milestone in contemporary furniture design. It was the first chair to feature a self-supporting leather structure, inspired by the way skin naturally fits over the human skeleton.
Crafted through a meticulous artisanal process, the leather is precisely cut, trimmed, and sewn before being fitted over a steel frame and secured with a zipper, much like a tailored garment. Timeless and elegant, the Cab Chair is now also available in an XL version for enhanced comfort, as well as in new Plus saddle leather finishes in pure aniline.
