We have professed our love for Foscarinilight fixtures many times here on our blog, and we must say that we absolutely love one of the newer and more unique designs Foscarini has created – the Anisha Lamp.
The Anisha Lamp looks more like a work of art than a lighting fixture. Its frame is an impressive irregular ellipse. We love this lamp because it can bring a bit of definition to an otherwise empty space, making it truly unique.
Here’s a video on the lamp that was recently featured on the design blog Bless This Stuff. It tells the story behind the design of the Anisha Lamp, of which the creators say their goal was to create not just a lamp, but an eternal object. In the video you’ll also notice that the designers opted to use a touch switch instead of a more traditional light switch to avoid “contaminating” the design.
