The Umami Cane Dining Chair by Accento, embodies unconventional elegance with subtle, thoughtful details. At first glance, it may appear as a simple dining chair, yet the two curved backrest elements and slender frame introduce unexpected movement and visual dynamism. Accento’s design philosophy of separating load-bearing components creates airy space, allowing the chair to maintain both lightness and comfort across all versions—from padded seats to cane or rope backrests. Crafted from high-quality beech, the chair can be customized with a variety of upholsteries in fabric or leather, cane or rope finishes, and different wood tones. The artisanal installation of the rope or cane produces a refined interplay with the bentwood frame, showcasing meticulous craftsmanship.

Inspired by the Japanese concept of umami, the chair captures the “essence of deliciousness,” combining aesthetic refinement with functional comfort.
