Elements 002 Side Table

Product details

Designed By Jaime Hayon

Inspired originally by the form of a cactus and its modular shape, the various parts of the Elements collection resemble a functional sculpture: as beautiful as the cactus, but extremely versatile in their combinations and use.

Elements are inspired by various parts of cacti. In Elements 002, this is especially reflected in the legs of the table.

Named after the Dutch word for beautiful by Marcel Wanders, the third “o” in Moooi stands for “extra value in terms of beauty and uniqueness.” The Moooi aesthetic, fusing the unique character of antiques with the freshness of modern design, delivers a sense of style like no other: exclusive, daring, and playful.

Hayon’s knowledge, skill, and creativity has allowed him to push the boundaries of many mediums and functions, resulting in artisan collections for a diverse clientele.

Spanish artist-designer Jaime Hayon was born in Madrid in 1974. His artistic vision was first fully exposed in the ‘Mediterranean Digital Baroque’ and ‘Mon Cirque’ installations. These collections put Jaime at the forefront a new wave that blurred the lines between art, decoration and design and a renaissance in finely-crafted, intricate objects within the context of contemporary design culture.

Jaime further defined his vision in subsequent solo exhibitions and shows at major galleries, and design and art fairs all over the globe. After founding Hayon Studio in 2001, his client base has spanned a variety of functions and mediums, including domestic furniture for & Tradition, Arflex, Viccarbe, Moooi, and Parachilna, among others. He has also executed complete interiors for leading hotels, restaurants, museums, and retail establishments worldwide.

Hayon Studio’s creative base is in Valencia, Spain with offices in Barcelona and Treviso, Italy. Jaime’s work has appeared in the most prestigious art and design publications worldwide. He has won numerous awards, including multiple Elle Decoration International Design Awards, included by Wallpaper Magazine in its “Top 100” list and recognized by the magazine as one of the most influential creators of the last decade, and lauded as a “visionary” and one of the most creative icons by Times magazine.
