Galaxy Pendant

Product details

Originally conceived in 1949 at the Eames Office prototype laboratory, the Galaxy Pendant is a striking example of experimental mid-century lighting design. First presented at the Detroit Institute of Arts exhibition An Exhibition for Modern Living, the lamp was crafted using automotive components and radiating brass tubes inserted into a central wooden sphere.
Reintroduced into production by Cassina in 2024, the Galaxy Pendant preserves the visionary spirit of the original design while bringing this sculptural lighting piece into contemporary interiors. Its starburst composition creates a dramatic focal point, combining functional illumination with iconic design heritage.
