Novetrenta Upholstered Armchair

Cassina has taken the Novetrenta armchair, designed by Vico Magistretti, from its Historical Archive and presented an outdoor version that preserves the essence of the original model. The design expresses a measured balance between formal rigour and refinement, giving shape to a seat with discreet and timeless elegance.

Made in Cassina's carpentry workshop, the armchair stands out for its solid Iroko wood structure, available in a natural finish or matt open-pore lacquer in Polvere and Rosso Cina colours, finishes that highlight the texture and grain of the wood.

The seat is available in two versions. The first, woven in polypropylene rope with a twisted pattern, pays homage to the original 1960s straw model and is available in the neutral shade Duna. The second version, padded and soft, uses recycled materials and is covered with removable fabrics, offering a comfortable solution suitable for outdoor living. With a circular approach in mind, the padded version can be completely disassembled to facilitate the recovery of materials at the end of its life.
