From the “perfect daybed for outdoor napping,” as proclaimed by modern design website Design Milk to an overall aesthetic ideal for “creating your own little piece of paradise” per design blog, Roberti’s sublime pieces are the embodiment of refined relaxation. It’s no stretch that this 55-year-old line — an innovator in the in-outdoor area trend — bills itself as “outdoor pleasure.”

Moooi Carpets just debuted last year, but the 15-year-old Dutch company is already making a colorful splash among the design community for its distinctive collections of floor coverings for the modern home.

There’s a reason why the Strike Chair from Debi is featured in so many well-appointed restaurants, bars and waiting rooms around the globe: This striking piece delivers a fitting fusion of style and substance — ideal for both contract projects as well as for the residential market.

Not all ordinary chairs come with their own fan clubs, but the Gio Ponti  D.154.2 Armchair does exactly that. Described by the New York Times Style Magazine as a “manifestation of Ponti’s twin ideals of harmony and joy,” and featured as one of Kara Butterfield’s “Editors’ Picks” in this month’s Boston Home, this piece is an instant classic for contemporary interiors, and is almost certain to earn sought-after status among today’s collectors.

We are thrilled to announce that Casa Outdoor Showroom is a winner of  “Best Outdoor Furnishings” in Boston Home’s  Winter 2015 issue, featuring Best of Boston Home.

Interior living spaces are an expression of personal design aesthetic, so why should exterior living spaces be any different? Spanish specialist outdoor design company Kettal embraces the spirit of individuality with its answer to average: the extraordinary Kettal Pavilions collection — now on display at our Casa Outdoor Boston showroom.

A true appreciator of design can’t help but curate a few favorite pieces from designer collections each year, but there is also comfort in selecting timeless furniture items that become personal favorites and can be kept part of the household’s furniture rotation year after year. We suspect the diamond back high chair from Danish designer Foersome & Hiort-Lorenzen will become exactly that.

Xavier Mañosa is a Barcelona-based designer who, BDbarcelonasays is, “in this order a potter, artist and designer.” That apt description is exemplified in his exceptionally unique table, Table Fang, which was presented in Milan.

The Kurage Paper Light was a collaboration between Japanese designer Oki Sato, from the design studio, Kendo, and Italian designer Luca Nichetto. The lamp was designed with the idea of “paper ice cream” at its foundation, resulting in a very simple study in shape and form.

Moooidesigns evoke grandeur and the elegance of another era without being superfluous. Their designers have a knack for using clean, simple lines – and often geometric patterns – to create luxurious results.

Moooi Blends Grandeur With Simplicity

Here are examples of furniture pieces that, in the words of Moooi, bring “…a touch of grandeur to your home, without conveying the firm austerity of real antiques.”

The dining table is a classic furniture piece – symbol of home, family and delicious meals. Meridiani’s Spencer Table is a modern take on this classic symbol, combining a solid and immutable presence with a sleek aesthetic.

Salone del Mobile is a showcase for the hottest designers and innovators in the market, but it’s also a place where new and emerging designers can highlight their talent and get a leg up in a highly competitive industry. One such example of this is the Salone Satellite Awards, which serve as a competition and showcase for young designers.

Whether you’re designing an eclectic farmhouse kitchen or updating a modern patio space, the Santorini by Sputnik Estudio for Marset is a versatile and stylish pendant light.

In addition to discovering the newest furnishing and fixture lines launched by the world’s leading modern designers, Salone del Mobile also provides insight to the general trends that are taking the interior residential

Jaime Hayon has achieved a measure of fame worthy of his talents. His latest creation, the Showtime Multileg Table, is turning heads around the world for its creative use of both space and geometry.

The mere title of Sancal’s latest products, The Majestic Collection, is enough to capture interest. Fortunately, Casa Design is confident it won’t disappoint. We’ve featured one of Sancal’s innovative and eye-catching designs in the past, most recently with a post about the visually rich Gráfica Collection.

There are tons of choices when it comes to picking out your indoor lighting fixtures – choices that you should carefully consider as they greatly impact your interior design. But what about your outdoor area? You can use certain lights outside as well, such as FLOS’s Ipnos outdoor lamp.

It’s nearly impossible to cover everything seen at this year’s 2015 Salone del Mobile in Milan. All we can do is post highlights from some of our favorite designers. One standout was Porada’s Fifteen Collection, which has broken a bit from the modern “norm” by using warm and beautifully grained woods.

Porada’s Glam Mirror is the ultimate modular mirror, designed to be hung alone or in a composition of your choosing. The mirrors are set at an oblique angle, making them a more unique addition to your home or contract applications.

Back in December, we peaked your interest in the latest Kettal Mesh outdoor collection. This month, we invite you to turn your attention towards their newest armchair, called Stampa, which combines simple and sophisticated style with Kettal’s iconic mesh form.

Did we miss you at this year’s Salone del Mobile in Milan? Not to worry. Over the course of the next month or two, the Casa Design blog will bring you the highlights. A definite highlight for our firm was the new collection presented by Zeitraum.
